Favorite Verses

Pro 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the Torah, [teachings and instructions] , even his prayer shall be abomination.

Thinking back I had to stop highlighting favorite verses in my bible because...well, my pages were turning completely yellow. Maybe a more accurate title would be verses that the Father has put on our hearts for a time to speak to us. A special message that touches our lives and enlightens us. If you have a special verse to add please feel free to submit it through the comment form or email

Please take a moment to think on each verse, and what does it really mean before moving to the next.

Pro 15:14 The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.

2Ti 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more wickedness.

Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one Elohim; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Jas 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Jas 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed YHWH, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of YHWH.
Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Jas 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

A dream from YHWH will be repeated
Gen 41:32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by Elohim, and Elohim will shortly bring it to pass.

Law is not the best word in this verse Torah should be inserted in it's place

good point. Often when people see law they think of something bad...as in a court law...something to bind us, and judge us. But the Torah, (the original Hebrew word used in Proverbs 28:9), wasn't given to bind but to free us through instruction and teach us right from wrong...it gives us life. HalleluYaH
