Recipes - Pasta Salad

I do not measure as I cook so these measurements are all approximate and also should be adjusted to your preference. This is great on a Sabbath since it tastes even better when made on the 6th day and refrigerated until served. Saves the cook from having to have to work on the Sabbath.

1 package of gluten free noodles, (slightly under cooked)
1/3 red pepper finely chopped
1/3 green pepper finely chopped
1/2 small red onion finely chopped
1 cucumber diced
a few olives cut in half
juice from 1/2-1 lime
1-2 servings of a clean cubed, cooked meat, if desired

Assemble in bowl and top with favorite organic or homemade Italian or Greek dressing. Add more dressing before serving if needed. Refrigerate over night.

Add ingredients that are in season or that you have on hand. Sometimes I will add cantaloupe, or pomegranate etc., etc.

Another variation is to omit the noodles and serve over a bed of baby spinach.

I understand that excessive food prep could be equivalent to work. But something that just needs heat to be ready to eat and not worked with-butchered skinned ect surely is not sin or transgression if prepared. Folks who live in cold conditions should have warm meals to sustain there body heat and comfort.I find no scriptural proof that heating food on Sabbath is anti Torah Seems some folks are using assumtions to make the case against heating food.I welcome your thoughts on this.

Exo 16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which YHWH hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto YHWH: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

Although I have not found a second witness to this verse it dose make sense to do prep work and cooking the day before. It says to prepare the day before and save the left overs for the Sabbath tomorrow morning. It would be adding to the word to say that one can not warm those leftovers up.
